Tue Madsen. Producer, mixing and mastering engineer. Djursland, Denmark.
Tue Madsen is a Danish producer; mixing, mastering and recording engineer. He founded Antfarm Studios in 2001 in Denmark. At some point moved to Åbyhøj where he used his indoor pool for his drum sound, which later became a plugin. Then he left Aarhus and the pool to stay on the countryside, Djursland, where he has been making records since 2019.
To date, the Antfarm catalogue runs to more than 170 albums.
Selected works
Tue has worked with Meshuggah, BABYMETAL, Sick of It All, Volbeat, Behemoth, Heaven Shall Burn, The Haunted, Halford, Dir En Grey, Dark Tranquillity, Hatesphere, Baest and many more. The full discography has the rest — over 170 records.

How he works
Tue likes to make the band’s album — not his own album with the band’s name on it. The starting point is always the band.
The long version of that approach lives on the specs & dogma page.
The studio
Antfarm Studios sits in the Djursland countryside, about an hour from Aarhus. There’s a live room, a control room, and a place to sleep on site so visiting bands can stay through the session.
The studio can be rented with or without me — I can help out, or leave you to it. Up to you. Get in touch →
